Cillar de Silos is a tribute to the monk who was historically in charge of the stewardship of the Silos Monastery, known as Cillero, whose job was to organize the pantry or cellar, with the wine and food necessary for the day-to-day life of the religious. .
The terroirs are the essence of the winery. Wines made with Tempranillo, an autochthonous variety that has been found in the region since time immemorial, and Albillo Mayor, the centuries-old white grape from Ribera de Duero, which give body and soul to our wines.
Cillar de Silos Crianza is the backbone of the winery as it reflects the character of the Tempranillo variety in Quintana del Pidio. Sourced from different terroirs of small plots, some of which are tiny with very old vines. The wine is a dark cherry red with violet hues.
