Valdecamellas

Valdecamellas

Buy Valdecamellas products at Bebevino

Valdecamellas is an inheritance that is transmitted from grandparents to grandchildren. It is a family dream. It is illusion. It is respect for Nature. It is permission for it to express itself at will and knowledge of it to lead it to the senses without alterations. It is a connection with the Old Vineyard, with the scarce fruit, with the traditional cultivation. It is passion for dedication, for authenticity. It is sacrifice in the search for excellence.

To find the origins of Valdecamellas we must go back to the beginning of the last century when the first generation of winegrowers in the family decided to go buy vine shoots in La Rioja. Since then, and until the current fourth generation, the work and care of the 36 micro-plots of Viña Vieja have been a constant.

Valdecamellas wines are created in the vineyards. That is why the production process is handmade, natural and very little interventionist.

The harvest is carried out in boxes of 12 kilos and by varieties. The reception to the warehouse is carried out by gravity.

Alcoholic fermentation starts spontaneously with the grape's own yeasts. Acidity correctors or other oenological products are not used. The wines are worked during the vat minimally manually and once a day.

The malolactic fermentation is always carried out in new French and American oak barrels. The aging takes place in new French oak barrels between 6 and 16 months depending on the vintage.

The wines are always bottled in spring without clarifying or filtering.
