Rojo intenso y brillante casi opaco.
   
Aromas complejos y minerales con una fruta muy madura con notas tostadas aportadas por la crianza en barrica.
   
La entrada en boca es suave, abriendo paso a una estructura intensa y a unos taninos dulces.
   
Final largo y persistente, manteniendo una fruta negra y madura. Vino con una gran estructura, con potencial de envejecimiento.

Hacienda Monasterio stands on a 160 hectare estate, 78 of which are planted with vineyards.

At the end of the 19th century, the estate was part of the properties of the Lecanda family, a pioneer in the new wine-making tradition in the area.

The winery, built between 1991 and 1992, was designed by the French architect Philippe Mazières, who had previously worked in such prestigious wineries as Château Margaux, Château d'Yquem Prieure-Léchiné.
