Dominio Del Águila is a family winery based in La Aguilera, a small town in the Ribera del Duero, it has 30 hectares of very old vines, the majority in organic farming, as well as 5 relatively young hectares (less than 50 years old). They have been suppliers of grapes to some of the main wineries in the region for more than 10 vintages.
The winery is directed by Jorge Monzón who comes from a family of several generations of viticulturists. He has worked with prestigious wineries such as Domaine De La Romanée-Conti, Grupo Vega Sicilia for one year and Bodegas Arzuaga-Navarro as technical director.
Over the years they have been recovering the family vineyards, until gathering an important heritage of very high quality vineyards, true Grand Crus... where the tempranillo grape is the true protagonist, coexisting in a very friendly way with other varieties such as white of the country, bobal, garnacha, albillo, gray tempranillo, etc.
