- Very expressive, powerful, complex, with fresh fruit, sweet spices, notes of red berries.
- Intense, fruity, toasted flavor with round tannins and a good finish.

Bodegas Protos (Protos Bodega Ribera de Duero de Peñafiel S. L.) is a Spanish wine-growing company located in Peñafiel (Valladolid). It was founded in 1927 by the union of eleven winegrowers in the area, becoming the first winery of what would later become the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin. Although it was originally a cooperative, since 1995 it has been a limited company.
Due to its location, Bodegas Protos welcomes the D.O. Ribera del Duero since the constitution of the Regulatory Council of a Denomination of Origin in 1982 and since 2006 also produces wines under the D.O. Rueda The winery produces and markets red and white wines.
