Tomás Postigo makes red wines from the Ribera del Duero and white wines from V.T. Castile and Leon.
The acquisition of the grape is carried out through a selection process in multiple municipalities of the Ribera del Duero. The close contact with the wine growers of the area for so many years allows us to know and locate the best plots, the best payments and the best villages of the Denomination of Origin. Working with winegrowers is a fundamental task so that the best grapes are obtained from their plots. Grapes are only bought from those plots that reach the optimum quality required according to the production methods.
By encouraging winegrowers to get the best grape and working together according to demanding quality criteria, a selection of the best Ribera del Duero grapes is achieved.
Controlling the grape yield per hectare is essential when demanding this quality. The grapes come from the entire geography of the Ribera del Duero: in the Ribera Baja in the surroundings of Peñafiel and Pesquera; in the Middle Ribera are the plots of the municipality of Roa de Duero; and in the Ribera Alta the grapes come from plots of up to 1,000 meters of altitude.
