/ Tempranillo / VeganSourced from selected, low-yield old vines in Moradillo de Roa. Notable among these are two small, 80-plus-year-old vineyards situated at an altitude of over 940 meters. The climate is extreme. The soils are sandy-loam, featuring surface pebbles and deeper layers of clay.

- Maceration for 14 days. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts in a 9,000-kilogram vat. Malolactic fermentation in oak barrels. Aged for 18 months in new French and Eastern European oak barrels.

- Deep, intense violet color—almost opaque.
- Prominent aromas of very ripe fruit, with notes of liqueur and fruit compote—black fruits, plum, and dried apricots—complemented by hints of smoke, coffee, and cacao.
- A thread of acidity runs across the palate, revealing a wine that is mature yet remarkably vibrant, rich in complexity and nuance. It is deeply enveloping, with highly polished, seamless tannins—a true cult wine.
At almost a thousand metres above sea level, in the moors of Burgos and Soria, the harshest area of Ribera del Duero, Bodegas Bardos was born, a collection of wines in honour of all the men and women who dedicate their lives to the vineyard. The authentic Bards of wine.
