Tasting notes
- It is a ruby red wine, bright and intense.
- Mineral on the nose with fresh red fruit, strawberries, cherries and a touch of menthol, well integrated with its aging in barrels.
- On the palate it has a clear, bright, fresh and fluid entry; some still nervous and young tannins that give the wine volume in the mid-mouth.
- Its finish is mineral, complex, long with a freshness and a fragrance that augur a promising development and aging of the wine.
Consumption and conservation
- 16-18ºC
Manufacturer
Hacienda Monasterio stands on a 160 hectare estate, 78 of which are planted with vineyards.
At the end of the 19th century, the estate was part of the properties of the Lecanda family, a pioneer in the new wine-making tradition in the area.
The winery, built between 1991 and 1992, was designed by the French architect Philippe Mazières, who had previously worked in such prestigious wineries as Château Margaux, Château d'Yquem Prieure-Léchiné.
