Vallegarcía Viognier 2021
Pago de Vallegarcía
/Vallegarcía
/ 100% ViognierThe Viognier de Pago de Vallegarcía is a unique wine in Spain. Complex, elegant and surprising for all who try it for the first time. It is paradoxical to speak of a white wine with its own structure and character in an area where white had never stood out. We were pioneers in Spain in plantation, elaboration and commercialization of a wine made 100% with Viognier grapes. It is a wine in continuous evolution, determined by the particularity of each vintage that requires us to elaborate and aging in specific barrels in each vintage.

Vallegarcía was born in 1997 with 24 hectares of vineyards in the Montes de Toledo region designed by the prestigious Australian viticulture professor Dr. Richard Smart.
In the vineyard, up to six different varieties of grapes of French origin are grown, perfectly adapted to the climate, soil and altitude conditions of the estate: the white Viognier and the red Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. And 3 national varieties, all of them red: Garnacha, Cariñena and Monastrell.
It was declared a Payment for the unique and exceptional nature of the Vallegarcía vineyard, and in 2019 it was recognized as a Protected Designation of Origin.
